  • Even though they are American, Jefferson book boxes might be a good beginner project. You can make a Jefferson book box from a single 8 foot pine board that you buy at the local home center. Lots of dovetails but no back, so it is easier to make than a drawer. Paul could use the project to show us how to make mitered dovetails at the front corners.

  • A nice tutorial. One thing it showed me, by the close up photo, is how deep Paul makes the gauge lines. These small details make a big difference. Thank you Common Woodworking.
